RSI extends a warm welcome to Zoo Miami, which will soon be adding Red Siskins to their collection! This is an exciting expansion of the RSI ex situ breeding program as well as a wonderful opportunity for outreach to the largest Venezuelan community in the United States, located in Miami. Special thanks to Jim Dunster, Bird Curator. Dr. Caroline Efstathion and Robert Horsburgh of the conservation NGO APAC have been breeding siskins to donate to this new colony, as well as facilitating this new partnership. Thank you!
